about Geralyn Mulqueen

Geralyn Mulqueen is an Irish Artist, RSA Fellow, Published Writer, Psychotherapist, Mother, Lawyer and Human Rights Activist.

Having trained and worked as a Barrister before motherhood, Geralyn later retrained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and is currently in private practice, serving in both Belfast and Dublin.

Her career as an artist continues to follow a diverse path, first exploring her passion in 2009, initially as an outlet for undiscovered talents then showcasing her work through numerous exhibitions worldwide.

In February 2010 Geralyn was commissioned by Lecale Conservation Society to submit works for “Mutiny for Beauty” Group Exhibition opened at Downpatrick Library by Sir Maurice Hayes and since 2011 has been working from her studio in Strangford, Co. Down.

Her work has been exhibited in Berlin, Paris (2012), Ireland and is in private collections in New York, Washington DC, Portugal, Switzerland, London and throughout Ireland.

Geralyn has recently been appointed ‘Artist in Residence’ for the Stendhal Festival, one of Ireland’s most popular cultural and entertainment events taking place in Limavady, Co Derry in August 2019.

Combining her love of creativity with her work as a psychotherapist, Geralyn has recently established a series of workshops in her hometown of Strangford, Co Down.
