<   back to news & events

“Art for the Senses – a journey of resilience and recovery” is the title given to an upcoming event at the MAC in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter on Friday 29th March 2019.

The event  showcases both the work and the experiences of Geralyn Mulqueen as an artist, psychotherapist, lawyer, activist and mother.

Using her art and written word, Geralyn examines creativity as an outlet for the navigation of personal trauma and the journey towards building resilience and eventual recovery. Geralyn offers this journey informed through lived exposure, impact, processing and recovery on all levels.

Drawing on her own personal experience and journey, the event aims to bridge the fields of art, psychotherapy, health and social policy and to offer a space for others to open deeper levels of dialogue, allowing uncensored communication and a rediscovery of the individuals voice.

Art for the Senses is aimed at activists, artisans, political change agents and those key influencers and decision makers within the fields of psychotherapy, mental health and trauma management throughout the island of Ireland and beyond.

The event takes place in the MAC, Belfast on Friday 29th March 2019 and begins at 5.00pm and runs until 7.30pm, and includes a panel discussion. (Doors open from 4.30pm)
