Stendhal Festival 2019 has arrived

<   back to news & events

It was almost 6 months ago that I last stood in Ballymully Farm, Limavady, home of the magnificent Stendhal Festival.

The snow covered ground and the clear blue sky created the perfect backdrop for the promotional photography that day, launching the Stendhal Featured Artist Prize – a great honour for me and something that I have been very much looking forward to.

It’s hard to believe that this years Festival begins THIS Thursday!

Featured artist at Stendhal 2019

I attended my first festival last year and had the pleasure of watching so many different artists perform over the weekend and I am really excited to be coming back this week, as an artist as well as an active music goer and art lover.

Stendhal Festival is one of those Irish gems, bringing together some of the best local, national and international artists and performers  in the beautiful surroundings of Ballymully Farm.

It’s accessible, family friendly and caters for a broad range of artistic tastes – over 100 acts across 8 stages.

Music, theatre, art, comedy, dance…there really is something for everyone.

I thought last year would have been hard to follow with Craig Charles, Embrace, Dr Hannigan and The Wailers but the line up this year is incredible – Basement Jaxx, Damian Dempsey, Mary Coughlan, Cormac Neeson and so many more…

This year I’m really looking forward to seeing Soak, Ryan Vail, Malojan and The Hot House Flowers

And of course I will be there in the middle of it all – showcasing some of my most recent work in the company of a number of other local artists.

If you have a bit of spare time, check out www.stendhalfestival.com and maybe I will see you around this weekend at Ballmully Farm.
