From the Artist:
“Nestled on the road between St Johns point and Tyrella beach is the beautiful townland of Rossglass. An area steeped in megalithic, celtic and monastic history. Standing at the gates of the little Church which is on a scale with some found in Cathar country, this view to the Mournes is what commands attention. Breathtaking and humbling to breath this view in. I made this piece using oil in one sitting. A whisper that it was done.”
Geralyn Mulqueen, Irish Artist, based in Downpatrick Co Down, Ireland.
Geralyn uses colour spontaneously in the emotional translation and captures the essence of reflection and emergence uniquely felt by the individual. The pieces are vital and honest, always allowing for movement and growth. Geralyn has exhibited across Europe – Berlin, London, Paris and Dublin, The MAC in Belfast 2019, Dubai 2020. Featured artist 2019 Stendhal Festival.
